Could it be that what goes on at these events is so embarrassingly far fetched that they simply don't want any actual coverage at all? They would much rather come out after the event and make stuff up.

Can't really say I blame the value voters people for wanting to listen to the speakers. I'd hate to go to some event to hear someone speak and have some wind-bag narrating the event over my shoulder.

Not that it's news, but the pick-up in the studio about the Values Voters event contains actual truth: "....we want to get the word out..." Normally, reporters talking about a highly partisan event don't talk quite that way, but we are dealing with Fox, of course.

Wow, gotta say I'm with the "crazies" on this one, why would anyone want to pay to attend a conference only to have it drowned out by the cable news pimps? I usually enjoy Josh Marshall's little quips but his characterization of the Heckler as soulless and weird was not only cruel but wildly off the mark. Earth to editor, the reporters are the ones acting without consideration in this situation. I think it's telling that you don't see that Josh, and maybe it's just an occupational hazard of journalism to believe that events are only relevant when properly parsed by journalists. It's especially aggravating when the reporters are simply reading of bullet points from the press release while interrupting the actual event, but then make the threat to not "Broadcast Your Event" as if by averting your collective gaze you can these people all go away.
As a long time activist on the left the one thing I've gathered from the coverage of the recent protests on the right is that the Media is less often biased to the left or right as it is biased by class. You all might need some ice for egos, they're swelling.

James -- what has happened to you? Man up. Why did you start whining like a little girl? What happened to your bio-touted amazing wit? If it can't be used defuse one little close-talker, what good -- or how good -is it? Has Fox news made you into a WATB?

When you have more TeaGoobers, Inbredheads, and Trailer Popes attending these events, who want to share the voices in their heads, you're going to have problems. Fox not getting it's message out is no big deal. Most of the time it's just lies anyway. Things are really starting to get interesting from a freakshow perspective.

I disagree. This does not look like it has anything to do with politics. It's about courtesy, consideration of others, and arrogant rudeness of the media, whether its MSNBC or FAUX. As a print journalist who has attended many conferences where TV reporters do their stands ups during the meeting, it's VERY ANNOYING. They're on camera talking while everyone around this is trying to listen to the speakers. TV reporters should do their stand-ups where they don't interrupt the meeting. It's that simple.

It seems to me that this guy was simply complaining about the reporter because he was being too loud or disrupting things.
