Yesterday, HarperCollins announced that Sarah Palin's much-anticipated memoir will now be released on November 17. Originally slated for spring 2010, the 400-page book's release was moved up after a quick finish by Palin and ghostwriter Lynn Vincent.
Diane Bell of The San Diego Union-Tribune, has some interesting details today on Vincent's involvement with Palin's forthcoming memoir, "Going Rogue: An American Life." Apparently, Palin spent much of August in San Diego working with Vincent.
Vincent began her career as an air-traffic controller for the Navy, which stationed her in San Diego from 1986 to 1991. Vincent later spent 10 years working for the Christian World Magazine before taking time off to work with Palin this summer.
Along the way, Vincent published several other books, among them memoirs focused on Christian pop singer Michael English, former PLO member Kamal Saleem, and Delta Force leader Lt. Gen. William "Jerry" Boykin. Vincent is also a credited author on "Donkey Cons: Sex, Crime, and Corruption in the Democratic Party," a take-down of the Democrats co-written by conservative author Robert Stacy McCain, and "Same Kind of Different As Me," a New York Times bestseller about a rich art dealer who befriends a homeless drifter (which has since been optioned for the big-screen by The Pursuit of Happyness producer Mark Clayman).
No details have yet emerged about the contents of Palin's memoir, and Vincent's nondisclosure agreement will most likely keep her mum until the book's official release.

Well, presumably the reason they brought her on in the first place was to translate Sarah's ramblings into at least semi-comprehensible English. Unfortunately for SNL.

I assume she's been the one writing Sarah's Facebook posts and Tweets as well. They all used proper grammar and were coherent in their logic (even when the logic itself was flawed), not exactly hallmarks of the Palin style.

It's kind of interesting that Palin had to go to San Diego to work on this project. Was Vincent too busy to travel to Wasilla?

You think Sarah's missing a chance to do San Diego on the publisher dime?

There's the coalition to take over the world -- and then the universe!
Muslims, Socialists, and Liberal Media working together can defeat even "God"!

The book was finished early, but I understand that about 180 pages in, the narrative switches to the life story of Alaska's lieutenant governor.

CT, it takes time to draw outlines of the big salmon, the moose, and the snowmobile so the readers can have room to fill in with crayon marks.

According to Levi in his VF piece, the ex-Gov. spends much of her time in her bedroom, alone. Maybe she had lots of time to storyboard an outline?
She may not hold a grudge when it comes to business. I would expect her to include Letterman on her book tour.

The "I was a Guvnah before I quit for cash" chapter alone should be at least 5-to-10 pages. If Alaska Spice is the voice for the audio version of this scholarly tome, i'm still not buying. They'll be giving it away for free like all the Ann Coulter books they apparently cant get rid of.

Who would be the worst project to work on? Boykin or Palin?
Palin can't comment on it either, since she doesn't know what's in it either. Like Terrell Owens being misquoted in his autobiography.

Well as Sarah would say and agree, I have to add that the murders overlooked by the Clinton passage into Russia, and the sight thereof from my front yard. To add further insult against the democratic party and yes then the magazine that I never read will further prove there is a Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. Oh and yes a shout out to all the "Real" Americans, god bless you and in woods I shot a Grizzly bear only to be retracted by Obama while he was killing grand mothers. How about them troops over there in warganistan. Here is a shout out to all of you, god bless and wink. You betcha shout out to all my friends int he "Twilight Zone." Be sure to buy my book and get all learned up and stuff.
