Limbaugh: 'In Obama's America' Black Students Cheer Beatings Of White Classmates

Rush Limbaugh weighed in today on this video of a 17-year-old white Illinois student beaten up by two black classmates. Shockingly, his analysis doesn't reveal an even-handed understanding of our country's complicated racial history. In fact, not only does Limbaugh imply that this high school scuffle is racially-motivated -- but that somehow, it's the fault of President Obama.
"In Obama's America, the white kids now get beat up with the black kids cheering, 'Yay, right on, right on, right on, right on," Limbaugh said. He continued:
I wonder if Obama's going to come to come to the defense of the assailants the way he did his friend Skip Gates up there at Harvard.
Somehow I doubt it.

the kids who beat up that poor schlub on the bus ought to pay the consequences for what they did.
That said, Rush Limbaugh is a racist ***tbag and of course he has a vested financial interest in inflaming tensions between white and blacks. To take one episode in the US of assault & battery -- even if there was some racial component to it -- and project it like this on Obama or "black America" generally is disgusting.

Cheering a beating is certainly worse than Limbaugh's cheering of a verbal assault (by Joe Wilson), but it's really just a higher degree of thugery.

You would be surprised how often this kind of attack happens in Michigan schools. There will some fool or group of fools who will come out of the wood work justifying these kids actions.
Limbaugh has no clue about Obama. Obama is the antithesis of the pants drooping thug. Behavior like this embarrasses him as much as it frightens right wingers. Seeing things like this only make his job of bridging the gap between the races harder. Now Limbaugh and his ilk have more ammunition to use in their campaign to prey on the paranoia of the tea bag crowd.

Hell, it happens all the time in Hawaii. The last day of school is widely recognized as "Beat Up A Haole Day" (haole=white person), and Dec. 7 as "Rap A Jap Day". Haoles and Japanese are the main "unmixed" ethnic groups, most of the others are mixed race and apparently have no problems with taking part despite being part haole or Japanese themselves. Given Obama's heritage and growing up in Hawaii it's surprising the dittoheads haven't picked up on it, but fortunately they're probably too ignorant.

Police and witnesses now say it wasn't racially motivated, just bullies that don't let anyone sit with them. Superintendent says he talked to the victim and there were no racial epithets and such.

When I was thirteen-ish, I was jumped by a group of Hispanic kids. It was totally racially motivated - I happened to be the first white geeky-kid they came across on a day when racial tensions were running high on campus. It wasn't anything too bad - just a fat-lip and a bruised ego. Jimmy Carter was President at the time; for some reason, I never thought to blame him for this.
