This morning on Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough slammed Republicans for their gleeful reactions to President Obama's failed attempt to help Chicago land the 2016 Olympics.
Scarborough first showed a clip of Rush Limbaugh merrily declaring that "the world has rejected Obama," chanting "Barack Hussein Obama" and shimmying with delight.
In response, Scarborough asked, "I would like Rush Limbaugh to tell me...who's he helping there other than Rush Limbaugh?" He went on: "Middle Americans that swing elections see that and think, 'Oh my God, Republicans have gone off the deep end.'"
This echoed a piece Scarborough wrote for The Huffington Post last Friday, titled "Thank You, Mr. President," in which he praises Obama for his trip to Copenhagen. Scarborough goes on to criticize both Republicans and Democrats for "narrow-minded partisanship," but calls conservative reactions to Obama's failed bid "just plain stupid."
Joe finished up his Morning Joe segment with a final dig at Limbaugh et al., calling the jovial responses "disgusting."

Obama chose to inject himself and Michelle into the Olympic bid process, then he proceeded to deliver a sophomoric self centered speech talking about his election and his family blah blah blah and not at all focused on why Chicago was a great choice. Then in a final insult he flew off after just 4 hours and before the vote was even cast, then is surprised at the result. Obama blew the chances of Chicago, and that is why people are slamming him. His ego and arrogance insulted the IOC, and Chicago paid the price.

Wow, so it was bad that he went (because it was a distraction from other matters) AND it was bad that he left early. The poor guy just can't win with you, can he? Rush would probably be screaming about how Obama "failed to represent America" if he didn't go at all...

And just for the record the head of government of every other country that had a city in contention "injected themselves" in the process by showing up and speaking in support of their city's application --- and GWB himself did it, albeit by videotape, at least once during his Presidency.

Wow! theClever, who said: "His ego and arrogance insulted the IOC, and Chicago paid the price," obviously has a direct line into the consciousness of the IOC voting members.
And of course, if the President had not done what every other candidate city's country did, and not showed up, theClever would have known, from his profound insight, that "His ego and arrogance at refusing to campaign for Chicago insulted the IOC, and Chicago paid the price," right?
Meanwhile, it's useful to have it made so obvious that Limbaugh hates America.

Are you serious? All the other countries' leaders went and yet to you a rightie President Obama shouldn't have gone?
Don't you think it's time to put away your hate and disbelief that we the people elected Obama as our president????
When are you going to support your country and president? You hate is not working anymore.

The true humor here is that Rush didn't see the real reason that the IOC likely voted against the US: who would want to travel to the US, when xenophobic racist retards like Rush's dittoheads and the teabaggers would be waiting there? Who'd want a repeat of the Eric Rudolph incident from Atlanta?

"The United States is the most admired country globally thanks largely to the star power of President Barack Obama and his administration, according to a new poll."
"What's really remarkable is that in all my years studying national reputation, I have never seen any country experience such a dramatic change in its standing as we see for the United States for 2009," said Simon Anholt, the founder of NBI, which measured the global image of 50 countries each year.
He believes that during the previous administration of George W. Bush the United States suffered in the world ranking with its unpopular foreign policies but since Obama was elected, and despite the recent economic turmoil, the country's status has risen globally. -Reuters

It seems the more Scarborough begins to act like a Statesman, the more Mika Brezinski begins to act like a crazied fringer. Wouldn't trust either one of them as far as I could throw them!

Well maybe that sinus surgery Joe just had cleared up his head? I think even Joe sees the damage being done to the thug party is irreversible.

WOW...Giving credit where credit is due, Scarborough actually did a decent interview with Liz Cheney and put her on the hot seat for her defense of General McCrystal's 60 mins appearance, where he indirectly criticized the Defense Sec and President.

As the righties go more and more nuts, the rest of us just shake our heads. They some how think their sick ways are going to bring more folks to their side.
They have no clue as to who Americans really are.
