Vice President Joe Biden told CNN in an interview conducted Friday and broadcast this morning that the Obama administration's $787 billion economic stimulus package "is working."
Citing GDP growth of 3.5 percent in the last quarter, Biden said, "Without the stimulus package, the economy wouldn't have grown this last quarter."
Biden described the stimulus as the "most transparent undertaking the government has ever engaged in" and said "he's confident we've hit bottom."

Based on all indicators, Biden is right.
Now the question is how long it will take unemployment figures to improve, because employment lags behind the GDP. If employment is getting better, the dems will have considerably smoother sailing going into the election. If it's not, they're in for a considerably tougher fight.
