Former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush will give speeches in Dallas, Texas on November 12, to outline the future of the George W. Bush Institute at Southern Methodist University.
The Institute, which will be a part of the George. W. Bush Presidential Center, will also include the President's Library, Museum, and Archives. In his keynote speech, the former President will discuss his vision for the Institute, which is the first policy center to be housed in a Presidential library complex. Bush will also discuss the specific areas of scholarly research the Institute will focus on, as well as several new programs that will kick off on the SMU campus in spring 2010.
In her own remarks, Laura Bush will outline how she will be involved in the Institute.
