Rep. Steve King (R-IA) said on MSNBC this morning that the House health care reform bill will take away every American's existing health insurance coverage.

"Pelosi's agenda takes every one away," King claimed. "It cancels every policy."

A moment earlier, King claimed that a huge majority of Americans are pleased with their health insurance coverage -- something MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan was quick to call him out on.

"Eighty-five percent of the people in America are happy with the health insurance policy that they have," King claimed.

Ratigan: "That's not true. That is not true."

King also said today's Capitol Tea Party was "the only way to stop" Democratic health care reform.

"We need to make sure that especially the blue dogs that are on the fence are more afraid of their constituents than the Speaker of the House," he said.

Until they're ready to break with Nancy Pelosi, I don't have a lot of confidence they're gonna save our freedoms.

We'll have video for you shortly.

We hear again what seems to be the new mantra of the Republican party: Facts and data are not important.

This is consistent with their voters, who is statistically less educated and less intelligent than the Dems'.

Not that I disagree with you or anything, but it helps to have subject-verb agreement when you are making a condescending remark.

I nominate King for vice-chair of the lunatic caucus. I assume Bachmann has the chair for as long as she holds office, but the vice-chair competition could be tough. That's a big Republican caucus.

King hs been around saying crazy, in no touch with reality nonsense a lot longer than Bachmann. He should chair the Lunatic Caucus. Seniority rules.

This douchebag makes me long for the days when Republicans stuck to telling half-truths, instead of making shit up without even a REMOTE connection to reality.

I am an Iowan. Steve King is a constant embarrassment to us. Maybe with redistricting and losing a representative in our state, we can lose Steve King. We can only hope.

Are these retards even capable of reading? I know they're too lazy to even contemplate the idea, but I'm beginning to doubt that they can comprehend written words at all.
