Fox News hosts Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly will head out on a four-city tour together at the end of January.
The "Bold & Fresh Tour 2010" will make stops in Westbury, New York, Tampa, Florida, North Charleston, South Carolina, and Norfolk, Virginia. The Westbury and Tampa shows are already sold out. Tickets range from $45-$121, depending on seat location and venue.
The official site touts the tour as "an event that makes professional wrestling seem like a night at the opera," and says that "there's no shortage of people talking about what's going on in the world today, but there are far too few who are actually saying anything of substance."
It continues:
Enough is enough--it's time for the truth from somebody who'll give it to you straight, whether you like it or not. Actually, make that... somebodys--Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck. This January, they're coming out from behind their desks and going on tour.
The site describes Bill O'Reilly as "the godfather of 'no spin' and in-your-face television," for whom "brutal honesty beats hypocrisy every time."
But that's not all!: "You know how they say that some men's 'bark' is worse than their 'bite?' With Bill... yeah, not so much. As Bill puts it, 'My teeth are in good shape.'"
Glenn Beck is a dog in his own right apparently, with "humor, raw emotion and the tenacity of a pit bull" that has made him "the new voice of conservative America."
He's less a TV host and more like, say... a force of nature. "There is really no better way to start the new year than by joining Bill on stage for the first time ever," says Glenn. "Wait...should I be worried?"
According to the site, "you'll hear from Bill, you'll hear from Glenn, and then... they'll take the stage together. What happens then? Heaven only knows, but one thing is for sure--you'll want to see it with your very own eyes."
"Your town may never be the same." Indeed.

More like something a turdblossom would sprout from... or in this case, it probably sprouted FROM a Turdblossom...

Is this really "TOP NEWS"?
This is garbage, TPM. Utter trash. Not the writing, no offense to Ms. Rayfield, but jeez, what a waste of all of our time to be constantly covering these lunatics.
We need JOURNALISM, not a highlight reel of the most controversial thing said today. Weak coverage at best, TPM. Weak.

Seriously, I think TPM is has jumped the shark. This isnt site is no longer a "Web-based news organization" as much as it is a place for the high and mighty left to come and beat their chests over the dysfunctional right. MSNBC and CNN deserve as much blame for the current, sad state of media affairs in this country but nary get a mention on this site. If you're trying to be The Daily Show, Mr. Marshall, you are failing on all fronts.

C'mon, guys, use your personal ability to choose and don't read stuff you consider meaningless.
Just ignore it. I never read the entertainment section of the Sunday papers, it seems so trivial to me I have't read it in years.
But that doesn't mean I don't read the editorial page.
Lighten up on the blog host, and his crew, they are part of a revolutionary new 4th Estate, and they are learning every day. Give em' a break, and use your personal gifts of discernment to separate that which is profound and meaningful from that which is frivilous and trite.

Pretty funny - much like the two things in their analogy (wrestling and opera) this will likely also be an emotionally overwrought and totally fictional story.

Dang. I was hoping they'd grace us with a non-stop, back-to-back, decade-long performance of John Cage's 4'33".

$45.00 to $121.00 to have smoke blown up your neither region? To me that is some pretty expensive incense they are burning. Neither of those two Charlatans is qualified to burn the shit barrels we used in the Nam. Both are lower than whale shit and it is on the bottom of the ocean..
""Bill O'Reilly as "the godfather of 'no spin' and in-your-face television," for whom "brutal honesty beats hypocrisy every time."" Is this the same motherfucker who patented the Loofa for your Foo Faa? The wanker on the telephone to the young interns in his office? Yea Bill, you really need to re qualify under the "Brutal Honesty" part of your contract and as far as your teeth being in good shape, one of these days you will mouth off to the wrong person and find those same teeth kicked down your effing throat.
Glen Beck, now there is a different story, he is a premiere class song and dance man. He was a total failure until he got the backing of a religious huckster of the Mormon variety. Once you get the church on your side, you can do no wrong in the West. Glennie and his made for order tirades fit the Utah crazie's perfectly. He is still sniffin around trying to find those gold tablets that lil Joe claimed that Mortimer or some other winged apparition loaned to him one night for translation. Cumon peeps, would any of you buy a used car from either of these two Sons of Bitches???

Did anyone tell the Fox marketing people that professional wrestling is a fake sport that caters to white trash, and that you aren't likely to see many hillbillies at the opera?
