Mitch McConnell is a good listener. At least that's what he told CNN's John King this weekend.
In an interview on State Of The Union Sunday, McConnell said the Republican goal of blocking Democratic-led health care reform in the Senate is nothing more than the GOP doing what they're told.
"We don't often ignore the wishes of the American people," McConnell said. "They are literally screaming, many of them, 'please don't pass this.'"

No, he's correct: many are screaming against health care reform. Alas, that "many" isn't the vast majority.

This is how it works:
73 per cent are for heawlth care reform. 27 per cent are against health care reform.
So the 27 per cent have it.
If it were 27 per cent for, and 73 per cent against, the 73 per cent would have it.
It's McConnell's version of Republican mathematics.

We've heard the screams of the delusional and we believe they have the best perspective.
Still haven't heard an intelligent reason why we as a country should allow the present disaster to continue. Oh wait. "We don't want to spend the money on THAT!"

Are those the ones that voted for Obama? Poor Mitch already forgot that Republicans lost the Election. Yes the very Election that almost all of the Democratic candidates campaigned on a public option for the American people. Why are Republicans so deaf, dumb, and blind?

He's a good listener. That's why he opposes the public option and health care reform in general.
It all makes sense now!

There are some, many even, that are screaming 'Don't pass health care'. Unfortunately, they are in the minority of a country that want to see Congress pass a health care reform bill. McConnell and his ilk are listening to that screaming minority because it plays to their personal philosophy. They are easily frightened by loud ideologues, and are seen among the so called tea baggers and town meeting ranters. Logic and reason are not counted among their skills. Emotion and irrationality are.
