In an interview with Newsmax, former Gov. Sarah Palin didn't entirely rule out running for public office with Fox News personality and tea party hero Glenn Beck.

When asked about such a ticket, she responded:

I can envision a couple of different combinations, if ever I were to be in a position to really even seriously consider running for anything in the future, and I'm not there yet. ... But Glenn Beck I have great respect for. He's a hoot. He gets his message across in such a clever way. And he's so bold - I have to respect that. He calls it like he sees it, and he's very, very, very effective.

Newsmax points out that Palin first "chuckled" at the question.

Well, at least she can chuckle at a joke. And what a joke!

Sounds like a sitcom,'Palin/Beck 2-0-1-2'

Neither is mentally or emotionally fit to run regardless of their lack of any other qualifications. Guess that guarantees them a shot as GOP candidates.

funny, but frightening...
If Rove's delusion of a permanent Republican majority had been realized, we might have seen something akin to this list, all snark aside.

I figured Todd Palin would serve as White House Chief of Staff.

He could keep the vendettas against critics or anyone else going while Sarah is doing her 'Democrats are American hating baby killing terrorist loving socialist Nazi Polanski-ish child molesters' in her down home Hockey Mom folksy fashion.

It would be so tough to choose between Glenn Beck and Michele Bachmann. I guess Michele might have to settle for Secretary of State or Attorney General. Or perhaps Glenn could be Sarah's Press Secretary or White House Chief of Staff. The Republicans have so much talent that tough choices would have to be made. Tom Tencredo as the head of Homeland Security!

Anyone else wonder what Beck will do when he reads Palin's endorsement?

Bad enough the talking heads at Fox have enough wingnut idiots watching to maintain their delusions of populist support, even worse when they form these mutual masturbation pacts, stroking each other in plain view while a disgusted public watches.

I still like Palin/Taitz!

or Dobbs/Beck? Now that would be a false-populist dream team

Maybe Orielly and Beck are actually going on a campaign tour!

As for Beck's effectiveness, fill a room with a hundred people from the street, after an IQ test, and see which ones Beck has an effect on...

Seriously, does anyone know a single intelligent person who falls for his drivel? The only people I ever hear defending him are the same people who are afraid the government is going to take over their Medicare!

And I'm not snarkin' or even exaggerating, Beck and Palin certainly identify our lowest common denominators. Another very accurate definition of their rabid supporters would be "Some of the people all of the time..."

if you haven't seen Cartman do a Glenn Beck, you ought to treat yourself to a laugh. Or a cry. I can never tell which it's going to be.

It was not so long ago we were all spewing at the thought of an Allen/Santorum ticket.

Where are they now?

Palin, Beck, et al, should enjoy their days in the spotlight, because their macaca/dog-on-man moments are inevitable and impending, and will shove them into that dust bin already full or Republican icons who once believed they were the true GOP "chosen ones."
