Sarah Palin, speaking from a hotel room here in New York City, was a guest on Rush Limbaugh's radio show today as part of her ongoing "Going Rogue" media blitz. She declared that Democrats are sheep, people aren't responsible for climate change, and that the GOP civil war in the NY-23 congressional election was good for the Republican Party.

"I think this is exciting," Palin said of NY-23. "It's encouraging."

Palin was one of several prominent Republicans who backed Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman in that race. The more moderate GOP candidate later dropped out and endorsed the Democrat, who eventually won.

Palin also compared Democrats to sheep in her continued NY-23 analysis.

You know another key to this, too, is to not hesitate duking it out within the party. This is what I appreciate about the Republican Party. We have contested, aggressive, competitive primaries. We're not like this herd mentality like a bunch of sheep -- with the fighting instincts of sheep, as Horowitz would say -- like some in the Democrat Party; where, heaven forbid, you take a stand and you oppose somebody within your own party because it's the right thing to do. I appreciate that in the Republican Party. Some on the other side say -- you know, they're observing what goes on in the GOP and say -- "That's infighting, and they can't get along, and there's no consensus there." No. This is healthy debate, good competition that makes candidates work harder. It makes for a better product, if you will, at the end of the day. I appreciate that about our party.

The former GOP vice presidential candidate also took a couple shots at the science behind climate change and the push for alternative energy sources, calling it "snake oil science" and questioning whether climate change is even caused by humans.

I think there's a lot of snake oil science involved in that and somebody's making a whole lot of money off people's fears that the world is... It's kind of tough to figure out with the shady science right now, what are we supposed to be doing right now with our climate. Are we warming or are we cooling? I don't think Americans are even told anymore if it's global warming or just climate change. And I don't attribute all the changes to man's activities. I think that this is, in a lot of respects, cyclical and the earth does cool and it warms.

I think this may be the first thing I agree with her on, the whole global warming not caused by man that is.

Yet what an amazing coincidence that the earth should be warming the way models predicted 30 years ago. But surely nothing more than that, coincidence. The earth just sort of warms up randomly.

At least this creationist speaks of something she knows well - snake oil science.

Funny, a person who believes that the bible is inerrant, and then talks about other people acting like sheep...

Yet again another two faced Palin contradiction.

Campaign Palin - we have to combat global warming, even if I won't say what I think causes it

Now Palin - we have no idea what's going on and I think all the science in the world is less relevant than what God says to me, me, me!

The American people voted for stupid in the past. Many love stupid. Shady science is the same as Bush's fuzzy math -- nonsense totally without any backup or justification.

The base and more love this blithering idiocy/

No opposition amongst democrats? Hasn't that been what we've all been complaining about with the healthcare debate? That liberal dems and conservadems can't agree? The GOP is acting more like the party of "sheep," collectively saying no to everything.

Making money off people's fears? You mean like calling Obama a socialist?

Global warming science is shady? I think it's pretty mainstream and well known at this point.

New Mayan Tablet Found: Prediction for 2012?

CHETUMAL, Quintana Roo, Mexico — Archeologists in Mexico have discovered an ancient Mayan tablet said to contain additional information prophesying events to take place in 2012.

The tablet, unearthed recently in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, is said to contain pictograms of a shrieking shrew, a dog with large lips, a vertical cylinder with a tapered top, two concentric circles adjoined horizontally, and a never-before-seen highly stylized figure roughly resembling a hockey stick.

Adding to the tablet's mystery has been the unexplained deaths of every expert who examined and, presumably, successfully interpreted its meaning.

All of the deaths, by spontaneous human combustion, are said to have occurred before the "secret" of the tablet was revealed, according to state officials, who agreed to comment anonymously because they were not authorized to speak.

"¡No sabemos qué coño está pasando!" an elderly Maya woman told reporters. "¡Ahora ve tu trasero de mi patio y déjame en paz.!"
