She's Baaaack!: Sarah Palin Launches New Twitter Account

On her Facebook page yesterday, Sarah Palin posted more information on her upcoming book tour, and provided fans with what they've long been waiting for: Her new Twitter account.

After she resigned as Alaska Governor back in July, Palin gave up her old Twitter handle, @AKGovSarahPalin. Now she's got a new account: @SarahPalinUSA.

In the same Facebook post, Palin provides a list of stops for her "Going Rogue: An American Life" book tour. The tour starts out in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and will also make such stops as Sioux City, Iowa, and Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Palin also teases readers with a partial explanation for her selection of Grand Rapids as the inaugural tour stop:

I'm starting in Michigan, and you'll understand why when you read the book. Last year, I made a promise to the good people of Michigan that I would be back, and now I'm keeping that promise. (Michigan is near and dear to my family's heart! Our eldest son, Track, lived with a great host family there during his hockey days.)

She ends with a postscript: "Included below is a flyer for the tour. Feel free to pass it around!"

I just retired to Florida. That is when I first saw the villages and looked to buy a place there. But there is no there there. Just a whole lot of plastic repubs, golf carts and mean spirited people. How redundant of me, repubs and mean-spirited are one and the same.

No. But, I have been around a long time and I know phony when I see it. Not to mention repubs and mean spirited. Oh and dah golf carts.

My parents lived in The Villages for a couple of years. I remember visiting there once and reading, in their own, company owned newspaper, that W. had paid them a visit as well. Figures.

The one cool thing about the place is the town square, with its gazebo, green, shops and restaurants. You can actually bring your adult beverages out from the restaurants, onto the green. Felt like I was in college again. Except for all the old folks.
