CNN showed video a few minutes ago of Tiger Woods' publicist reading a joint statement from Woods and Health Central Hospital that downplayed the extent of Woods' injuries from a car accident outside his home early this morning.

Tiger Woods was in a minor car accident outside his home last night. He was admitted, treated and released today in good condition.

When asked about earlier reports that the injuries were serious, Woods' publicist said, "I didn't say serious injuries."

Here's our earlier report on the accident.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that Woods, 33, pulled out of his driveway around 2:25 a.m. this morning, hit a fire hydrant, and then drove into a tree on his neighbor's property.

The Florida Highway Patrol reportedly said the airbags in Woods' Cadillac Escalade did not deploy -- meaning he was traveling below 33 miles per hour.

CNN reports that the Florida Highway Patrol says that alcohol didn't play a role in the accident -- but that the crash is under investigation and charges are pending.

Why the MSM went with this dumb-ass explanation is beyond me. They should have at least added a cautionary note or two.

So the wife breaks a --likely-- bullet proof window with a golf club to "rescue" her Tiger? Not bloody likely.

Since he was apparently semi-conscious maybe he got into the car and hit the objects, after getting a club to the head by Elin?
