Karl Rove today called the way the Obama administration has handled the attempted attack on Flight 253 "troubling," and said it "shows the big difference in this administration's approach to it."

In an appearance on Fox News, Rove criticized the White House's supposed depiction of the suspected terrorist as a "lone wolf." He asked: "This is an isolated extremist? We already have Al Qaeda up claiming credit for him."

Rove continued: "And this guy's telling the FBI there are more like me!"

He also took the opportunity to criticize the administration's decision to treat the suspected terrorist as a criminal, and not as an enemy combatant. "This just shows the big difference in this administration's approach to it," he said.

This guy was treated not as an enemy combatant, and turned over to the FBI and the CIA for interrogation, he was charged criminally, which means he immediately lawyered up.

He concluded: "This is a very troubling way in which the administration has handled this."

We're 'troubled' also ... as to why this lying pig-faced sack of dung isn't in jail. Thanks again, Fitz.

Did he mention that two of the four masterminds were released from Guantanamo in 2007! That's right under Bush/Cheney's watch.

According to Mary Matalin, Bush and Cheney inherited the two, their releases, Guantanamo, and 2007. Moreover, says Matalin, Bush and Cheney inherited Bush/Cheney and their disastrous watch. Thus, whatever isn't Clinton's fault is probably Obama's.

BTW: Has anyone ever seen Orly Taitz and Mary Matalin in the same room? That they would merely share the same make-up artist at first seemed a little far-fetched. But that they share the same make-up and the same "thought" processes is just entirely too coincidental. (Plus, I've heard that in the heat of passion, instead of panting "Oh, God!" they both whine "Oh, Bomma!" like squealing pigs.) We're through the looking glass here, people, and it ain't pretty.

Here's a little something to consider the next time you see Dick Cheney's sneering face on Faux News blithering about how the Obama administration's approach to terror is making America less safe.

Two of the four leaders allegedly behind the al Qaeda plot to blow up a Northwest Airlines passenger jet over Detroit were released by the U.S. from the Guantanamo prison in November, 2007, according to American officials and Department of Defense documents. Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the Northwest bombing in a Monday statement that vowed more attacks on Americans. American officials agreed to send the two terrorists from Guantanamo to Saudi Arabia where they entered into an "art therapy rehabilitation program" and were set free, according to U.S. and Saudi officials.

Let me see, let me think, let me just TRY to REMEMBER here... WHO was President and Vice President in November 2007?

Someone named BUSH??? And CHENEY???

Do you think the nodding right wing poodles on Faux News will have the testicular fortitude to MENTION this little FACT? The nodding poodles on Faux News sure didn't bring it up to Karl Rove when HE blamed this whole thing... on Obama... again...

(from the above story...)

In an appearance on Fox News, Rove criticized the White House's supposed depiction of the suspected terrorist as a "lone wolf." He asked: "This is an isolated extremist? Gosh! Let's hope Bush, Cheney and Rove didn't let THEM out of Gitmo TOO...

Please keep in mind that Bush held hands with the Saudis, and the Saudis gave the terrorist masterminds art therapy. For an administration that used terrorism to get in over its head in an unnecessary war in Iraq, it seems like they did about all that could have been expected to accomplish.
How dare this lying piece of crap go on television and pretend he and his administration ever did anything more than hollow PR bullshit playing for political advantage.

As far as I am concerned, Karl Rove is an enemy combatant.

I understand that Rove is both wrong on the substance (surprise) and continues to display a total lack of understanding that the prior administration's torture regime is a stain on the nation, which would have been disgraceful and wrong even if it had worked. But let's also note again for the record the rank hypocrisy of Karl Rove criticizing the President of the United States on matters of terrorism and defense -- this from the man who ran at least three election campaigns on the theme that expression of any difference with the Commander-in-Chief on such matters is tantamount to treason. Obviously Fox won't point this out but the other outlets should be howling over this.

I am deeply troubled that we have not invaded an uninvolved country yet over this.

Yes, Rove must certainly find it 'troubling' that Obama didn't declare war on South Africa after a man from Nigeria tried to blow up a plane. Since that's the kind of logic that motivated their actions.

And just how is this any more troubling than the Bush/Rove/Cheney response to 9/11? First they didn't even have terrorism in their first ten problems to be considered and demoted Clinton's terror czar. Then they totally ignored numerous reports that al Qaeda was planning something that involved planes. Then after the event, they told us to go shopping, used it as an excuse to lower taxes for the uberrich, and then invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. Turd Blossom has no shame at all.

Rummy was looking for an Iraq connection on 9/12/01 and didn't stop until they made it up and used it to justify W's revenge against the guy who tried to kill his daddy.

You're right Karl: we need a stronger response. We're going to be dropping you off in Yemen with a Glock and a flashlight. I'm sure you can take care of the problem yourself, but feel free to bring plenty of neocon friends if you want; just stay behind Cheney, and don't make any quail noises.

Rove should go back and see what his old boss's response was to Richard Reid. Crickets and Bush didn't come home from his Christmas Vacation either.

Whatever the antonym of "honest broker" is the epithet for turd blossom. Come to think of it, "Karl Rove" may be the exact opposite of "honest broker", although in recent years the entire "Republican Party" also unfortunately qualifies.

Rove was there for the Shoe Bomber in Sept 01 handling the press when Bush was vacationing and stating he was "constantly monitoring the situation", was he not?

Huh?.... August 6, 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing. Ignored by Bush, Cheney, Rice, and Rove because they wanted an excuse to invade Iraq for vengeance and oil. Talk about corrupt incompetence that has cost thousands of US lives and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives...

(No, I'm not saying Bush Admin knew the nature of the attack; just that they new one was imminent and they weren't motivated to prevent it...)

Damn right this administration is going to handle things differently - it better!!

Check out the Bush/Cheney response to the Shoe Bomber attack which was pretty similar in being an unsuccessful attempted bombing of an airliner that was thwarted.

Bush made next to no statements and Richard Reid was tried criminally.

Hypocrites all of them
