In an interview with Esquire magazine, Lou Dobbs once again defends his repeated requests for President Obama's birth certificate, calling it a "commonsense question" that has "been used in the extreme left to create a toxicity that is just unbelievable."

In an interview headlined "What I've Learned," Dobbs once again lashes out at people who have criticized his insistence that Obama's birth certificate is unsatisfactory:

I ask a question, and I am attacked from the extreme left as a quote-unquote birther. I mean, what the hell is that? When you can create a controversy by asking what seems to me still a perfectly commonsense question? It has been used in the extreme left to create a toxicity that is just unbelievable.

He also addresses his stance on immigration: "There aren't 20 million illegal immigrants because of a choice made by the voting electorate of the country. There are 20 million illegal immigrants in this country because a good part of the establishment made a decision to exploit labor."

He continues: "I'm actually pro-immigrant. There's not a restrictionist bone in my body."

Dobbs also offered some other helpful gems: "When you've got a 120-pound bale of hay hitting your knee as you buck it onto a flatbed wagon or trailer, your jeans have got to hold up."

He concluded: "On any given day, I'm a horse's ass. On another day, I think I can apply for at least ... honorary good citizenship."

And I guess your claim that one of your political opponents took a shot at your was "commonsense," too, wasn't it, Lou?

STFU.

No Lou, your silly birther comments have been royally denied by the present Hawaii Republican governor and her Director of the Health Department who both stated they personally saw the live birth record and Obama was definitely born in Hawaii, But of course, if Dobbs did a simple net search on Google he would find out this info for himself. But alas, he would rather just go on telling his whopper lie so he can just forget about being accurate. Oh well, that seems to be his MO lately. Poor thing is obviously integrity challenged. By the way, my 9 year old great grandson was able to find the facts that supported the birth of Obama in Hawaii while checking it out on the net.

So "Trust but verify ... " is a silly idea isn't it ???

If for instance you thought you were sole heir to a sizable family fortune, but the will divides the fortune between all family members, and you had a competitor suddenly show up claiming to be a long lost brother or sister and came complete with a website based BC and even had some people claiming that BC on the web was authentic ...

You'd of course just take that competitor's word for it .... Wouldn't you ? And of course you would not use every legal means necessary to verify the person wasn't pulling a fast one on you and was eligible to receive a share of the family fortune ....

That would be crazy to not trust the competitor because by golly they have a BC posted on the internet and have people verifying that BC on the web is the real thing ...

Nothing to worry about ...

You'd be crazy to check out their story because by golly they have "proof" !

What a load of schlock ...

You'd be hiring PI's and attroneys and taking that competitor to court and at least make them actually authenticate that the BC actually exists and accurately reflects a familial relationship and most likely contesting the will to make sure the family fortune stays in the rightful heir's hands !

There is no difference between wanting the competitor checked out because a fortune is at stake and also wanting Barack checked out because the nation's safety and security are at stake and in terms of that there is something of value at stake and not checking out the persons eligibility is the least that should be done to make sure that everything is legally on the up and up is not a crazy idea !

It was so lovely to have that voice silenced--They have shattered the illusion of sanity with this interview...well maybe, I have and will not read it!

Yeah freedom of speech is soooo blatantly overrated ...

We should label everyone crazy and demand everyone be silenced that we disagree with ...

Can't be inconvenienced by contrary opinion !

Might make us see the other side's viewpoint !

That's sooo crazy !

Freedom of speech does not carry with it the right to an audience.

If Lou Dobbs were locked in a closet, out of earshot of the entire human race, his free speech rights would not be infringed thereby.

And if you find any evidence of this supposed Right To Make The Other Side Hear Your Viewpoint in the Constitution, you hurry right on back here and point it out to us all, K?

Idiot. I've heard it said tha Dobbs' father was an alligator. I'm not saying that I believe it, but why would people be talking about it, if there wasn't something to it? It's just commonsense.

I mean, just because he smokes pole and likes to penetrate domestic stock after he puts their heads in a vice in a deserted farmhouse is commonsense...I mean, just sayin'....

Yeah alligators are reptiles and it's so easy to see the resemblance ... Really !

Really Lou Dobbs just wants Barack to submit his BC to have it authenticated and is of the opinion that Barack is most likely eligible ...

Regular people have to do that all the time ...

What makes Barack soooooo special ????

Barack and his backers couldn't possibly be lying for political gain ????????

Really politicians are always truthful especially when they have everything to gain and/ or everything to lose at the same time by everything they say and/or do !

We've never seen our politicians in this country lie , cheat and steal their way to the top !

Just not possible !

This hasn't been settled yet? I thought the silliness of the birther movement was demonstrated with that whole, "Did Glen Beck rape and murder a little girl why won't he come out and prove he didn't" thing.

Hey, I've got an idea. BO, just show us your BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Not that phoney "Certificate of live birth" that someone knocked out on their PC.(Actually it was probobly a MAC. It's a lefty thing.) While your at it, let's see your college records and there's that multiple SS# thing. One thing at a time. Birth Cert. first. Unless you're hiding something.

Thank you Mr.Dobbs for taking ridicule from some of the apathetic members of our society.

Requesting proof of the long-form birth certificate is not wrong to ask, as it is a REQUIREMENT to be the President of the United States, it is the answer which could be terrifying.

No college records, scholarly articles, grades, .....we all can see what we do not know about Barry Soetoro/ Barrack Obama.

What do you really know about this "person" raised Muslim?

It is a law and in the constitution that a presidential candidate provide all proper documentation of who they are and support that they are of natural born citizenship of the US. Barrack has NOT provided one piece of paper work showing this. He has spent MILLIONS of dollars paying lawyers to protect his BC so that no one can see it. This lawsuit is finally going to the Supreme Court, if they ask for his BC and he does not produce it, then he should be thrown out of office and everything that he has signed so far will be nulled.
Barrack needs to be a man and stop hiding behind a smoke scene and produce all of his school records, medical records and BC!
I am a natural born citizen of the US and also a Army veteran. Just to get into the Army I had to produce a BC and all school records and medical records. That was just for the military, if I was running for President of the USA, I would have all of those on the top of my application. Come on Dem's, open your eyes and know the laws, you would be asking and gripping if a Rep. was doing the same thing.

I'm not one of Barry's sycophants and I can at least consider the proposition that he's not native born as an academic exercise. Problem is IT DOESN'T MATTER. There is simply no chance that Obama's election will be overturned by any federal court or any impeachment process. Not gonna happen. I don't care if you've got video of the birth in Kenya, DNA evidence in a vault and a thousand eyewitnesses. Your evidence wouldn't make the AP wire let alone SCOTUS. Our masters have no stomach for this particular fight legitimate or not. Shut up and do as you're told. Don't you have better uses of your time like paying taxes or something?
