On The Daily Show last night, Jon Stewart addressed the phone-tampering scandal surrounding four men who allegedly plotted to mess with Sen. Mary Landrieu's (D-LA) phones.
"So, dressed up like a pimp to get ACORN," Stewart said of James O'Keefe, who did indeed dress up like a pimp in his ACORN video sting. "Dressed up like a phone company guy to get Sen. Landrieu's office. I think this guy's getting all his investigative journalism ideas from porn movie plots."

Stewart is a dingus clown. Would he & Tweetybird Matthews agree to DNA test to prove or disprove biological fraternity?

LittleFatSailorBoy is just seeking the attention he no longer gets from his Mommy. Ignore him. He won't go away, but he never says anything of substance.

Well said. It's important that people know that John Stewart, a comedian on a comedy show, is a clown. Thank you for pointing that out.

The Sailor is just sad that he's gonna have to travel to O'Kweef's parents' house to get himself pleasured.

Sailormarlowe, I have reported your un-American speech to my local Obama / ACORN headquarters. Enjoy being on the no-fly list.

There's a dingus clown in this story, alright. But his name is James O'Keefe III. As usual, Stewart does an artful job of skewering him and finding the humor in this pathetic situation. O'Keefe is this year's Joe-the-Plumber. Hilarious!

Stewart still hasn't apologized for his attacks on ACORN based on the doctored video of James Okeefe.

Well he included himself in a montage with O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, so I guess he recognizes this wasn't his finest hour.

Stewart is a clown? Stewart gets paid to be a clown. What does O'Keefe and his band of Segrete wVanna-bes get paid for? Violating the laws of the land that they and other conservatives claim to worship?

The boys at Fox love this kid. They gave him a lot of friendly coverage. I'd be surprised if they haven't set up a legal defense fund for him.

You're probably right. But yeah, the guy is a walking, talking parody of a serious human being.

Jon Stewart did more harm to ACORN than the OKeefe guy himself by taking it seriously, and giving cover for other liberals to keep trashing them. It was a nonstory from the beginning, and the worst segment the Daily Show has ever done.

Eclecticbr makes a great point.
I don't understand why this case doesn't lead to folks pointing out the un-arguable fact that the ACORN videos were selectively edited and full of voice-overs. They were fakes.
Clearly, this guy was collecting b-roll so he could edit it into another fake video that damaged Landreiu. And this time, he was breaking the law as he vandalized Landreiu's office as part of his b-roll collecting.
It's time to stop pretending this guy is a journalist who happened to break the law as he put people into sketchy situations and recorded how they reacted.
He's a guy who selectively edits video so that people say what he wanted them to say. That is, he doesn't just entrap people--he entraps them AND he plants evidence!
Why the heck are we giving him the benefit of the doubt?

why does O'keefe get the benefit of a doubt? He entered a federal office under false pretense. Since his plot was foiled before he carried it out fully, shouldn't he be waterboarded to make sure he isn't hiding some terrorist intentions? ...or at least let Jack Bauer talk to him ;) Arresting him instead of holding him as an enemy combatant makes no sense. I don't feel safer with this wussy approach to national defense.

Why is it that when conservative darlings break the law, Fox et al. turn themselves inside out trying to find a way to excuse this clearly, on any other day and with any other person in the same position, illegal behaviour? I think it just shows these people's ultimate lack of respect for the law, a la Bush/Cheney/Yoo, as opposed to their constant wittering about everyone else needing to respect and uphold the laws of the land.
