Fox News anchor Sean Hannity will deliver the keynote address at the National Republican Congressional Committee fundraising dinner next month. Officials said the television star would offer them insight into their quest to win back the House of Representatives this fall.
NRCC Chairman Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) hailed Hannity as fighting for conservative values when announcing his speaking slot for the March 23 dinner at the National Building Museum in Washington.
"As a best-selling author who reaches millions of viewers and listeners on a daily basis, Sean Hannity fights for conservative values and serves as an important voice for our party," Sessions said in a statement.
"His insight will be invaluable to our Conference, and I look forward to welcoming him to Washington as we prepare for a victorious election cycle."
The NRCC release says Hannity "has emerged as one of the most prominent conservative voices in the country, currently reaching millions of viewers ..." They also note his awards and that he's authored two New York Times bestselling books.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) headlined the dinner last year, helping the party raise $6 million.

Why not Rush Limbaugh? Maybe he's gained so much weight, they weren't sure the stage could support him.

If the GOP gets back in power, will the conservative radio and TV shouters call Fox the "State-run media"?

I just want to remind everybody, that before this loudmouth got on the air, he was a house painter. That's a fact ! And do you know who else had a loudmouth and was a house painter before he gained popularity? Right!!!!!

Sean's a Greed Murikan.
The GOOPers will be frothing at the mouth as he counts out Obama's socialist activities on his pudgy fingers.
What a bold, invigorating choice of keynote speaker. Really taking chances, that's today's Republic Party.
Echo chamber priming is all this will amount to.
(Personally, I'm still waiting to learn how little of the "donations" to Sean's charity actually were spent on charity. But that's for a future day)

"As a quantum douche bag who reaches millions of brain dead viewers and listeners on a daily basis, Sean Hannity fights for regressive values and serves as an important liar for our party," Sessions said in a statement.
Fixed it for you.

So apparently there aren't any Repug politicians who qualify as voices for the GOP? Yeah, that seems about right.

Rynato and Awiess, let me bring you up to speed: Limbaugh has lost more than 80 pounds since last spring. But you'd know that if you actually listened to his show, rather than just engage in name-calling. (Ditto, the rest of you.)
And btw, how is having Hannity speak at a GOP fundraiser any different than the Democrats trying to recruit MSLSD talk-show host Ed Schultz to run for Senate from North Dakota? Oh, yeah, there is a difference: Hannity actually has an audience.

I forget -- is this the nineteenth or twentieth time he's lost that much weight? By his own admission, Limbaugh has had problems with his weight and appetite for his entire life. But you'd know that if you actually engaged any of us on the merits of the Fat Limbaugh argument, rather than just doing a drive-by rebuke.

Yeah, boyo, there's a difference, but probably not one that matters to you. After allying with and giving voice to the Republicans' fund-raising effort, Hannity will continue as a so-called newscaster at 'fair and balanced' FAUX.

That zooming sound you hear? That's my sarcasm going over your head. But okay, how's this:
The fact that Rush is really fat has no bearing on his being a mean spirited, heartless, douche bag. We can make fun of him for being an asshole without making fun of him for being fat, which just takes us down to his level.
See how many words that took? Sarcasm is so much more efficient....

The numbers are in, and there's no disputing the obvious: Among the cable news channels, Fox is cleaning MSLSD's clock in the ratings:
In the 8 o'clock hour, BIll O'Reilly's audience in the highly coveted 25-to-54 age demographic averages 983,000 viewers to Keith Olbermann's paltry 263,000. Even Nancy Grace on Headline News beats Olbermann.

Signalma: I thought good liberals didn't discriminate: Why is Limbaugh's weight, whether it's up or down, an issue at all? It's because you can't deal with him on the merits of the issues.
Model271: You obviously don't watch Hannity, because if you did, you'd know he is NOT an anchor, but a commentator.
As I said in my previous post... How about arguing the issues and facts, not name-calling?

Signalma: I thought good, tolerant liberals didn't discriminate: Why is Limbaugh's weight, whether it's up or down, an issue at all? Hint: It's because you can't deal with him on the merits of the issues. (Or as Jack Nicholson would say: "You can't handle the truth.")

So, as I said in my previous post... How about turning off MSLSD and arguing the issues and facts on their merits, and not rely solely on name-calling?
