Rep. John Carter (R-TX) compared blaming the oil spill on President Bush to "the Kevin Bacon game," in which, according to Carter, you have to connect a movie or actor to Kevin Bacon in "seven cycles." Last night, Jon Stewart took him up on the challenge.

"I don't need seven 'cycles' to trace this spill to Bush," he said. "I don't even need six degrees, which is the actual way you play the Kevin Bacon game."

Stewart continued: "Because the oil spill is the result of the Mineral Management Service's decision to stop regulating natural resources, and start regulating how much coke they were sniffing off of oil executives' asses. A decision they made during the administration of George W. Bush, who was played by Josh Brolin, who starred in Hollow Man with Kevin Bacon."

Priceless! Apparently Bush didn't do anything in eight years as President that wasn't because of someone else's decision making. Wow! It must have been an easy Presidency - all Bush needed to do was ask "What did Bill want to do?" It's just a shame Bush couldn't read the written instructions.
